I was worried that this book would be too dated for my daughter to enjoy as much as I did as a child but it turns out it really is a timeless classic. She giggles at the same part that I did when I was a kid and I get a little teary-eyed when it gets to the end, when baby bear gets caught in the mirror. The Golden Books collection still leaves a bit to be desired in terms of paper quality and cover quality, but the illustrations are just as I remembered from my childhood. It’s fun watching my daughter giggle along as I read the story to her.
